Now Hiring - Sales Associate And Kitchen Assistant in Elgin, TX

ATX Jerky, located at 107 N. Main Street in Elgin, is seeking two full-time Sales Associate/Kitchen Assistants to join our team!

This split position offers the opportunity for the qualified candidate to work outside at farmer’s markets located around the Austin area and at our store in the Elgin prep kitchen preparing the items for sale at markets. ATX Jerky is seeking attentive, ambitious, and engaged individuals who are interested in working both aspects of this position.

As the Kitchen Assistant at our store in Elgin you will:

• Inventory products
• Prepare jerky, pickles, honey, green beans, and other products for sale
• Slice and clean vegetables
• Organize items for farmer's markets, and
• Wash dishes used during production of food products

As the Sales Associate, you will:

• Sell ATX Jerky at various Farmer’s Markets (typically on weekends). This entails setting up the tent, tables, and food products for display.
• Seek out new wholesale opportunities for the sale of ATX products (help get our products into more stores)
• Ensure shelves where ATX Jerky is currently being sold are fully stocked. Drop off new products when necessary.

This commission-based position utilizes your personal vehicle. You are paid an hourly rate in addition to a bonus based on the amount of product you sell while at a farmer’s market. You will also earn tips for being helpful, attentive, and alert at farmer's markets.

This split position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work full-time with some hours worked at farmer’s markets and some worked in the prep kitchen.
